Virtual Summer Program
AALIM’s online summer program is ideal for students who are looking for structured group language study or to approximate a study abroad experience but are unable to come to Meknes to study in the summer of 2023.
The online summer program consists of group classes, held in three consecutive four-week terms. Each term includes 10 hours of Arabic language instruction in class per week (for a total of 40 hours in each term).
Students receive official transcripts upon successful completion of all language and academic content courses. Students seeking to transfer credit to their institutions must make all necessary arrangements with their home institution prior to enrolling with AALIM.
*Programming is dependent upon enrollment numbers.

ONLINE SUMMER FEES
Cost: $1,000 per 4-week term. Additional $125 administrative fee per student.
One term consists of 40 contact hours. In addition to the language instruction, the summer terms include two weekly hours of conversation practice with Moroccan language partners and weekly cultural activities. Virtual cultural activities have included tours of Lahdim Square in Meknes, sessions on Amazigh Culture, a visit to a local medicinal herbologist, and a visit to sites of Andalusian architecture in Meknes.
Because of [my teachers] I’m now able to speak much more fusha and feel comfortable talking about a wider range of subjects. While I learned more about Morocco and Moroccan culture, I also learned some darija. Inshahallah I’ll be able to travel to Morocco in the future and we’ll be able to meet in person!
